A bottle green kurta from our ‘Exclusive Kamdani’ collection. This type of embroidery originated in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh i.e. Lucknow. It involves twisting thin metallic threads to create patterns all over the fabric. Initially, it was developed for the royalty that resided in the city and utilised precious metals like gold and silver to weave into the fabric. Kamdani work is a time and labour-intensive craft which is why there are now only a handful of karigars/artisans who are adept at this type of artistry. Each piece in our collection is a fine specimen of the technical know-how.
This sophisticated kurta is embellished with gorgeous Kamdani floral work. The neckline has matching potli buttons and is finished with tikki work for a fine finishing. Perfect to mix and match for any occasion. The Kamdani is meticulously crafted to obtain a unique design and distinct skill of the embroiderer.
The entire kurta is underlined with soft cotton. Pair this kurta with our matching Kota dupatta and ____palazzo for a complete look. The model in the image is wearing ___ inches long kurta and is 5 feet __ inches tall. Available in standard and made-to measure sizes.
